Last week Audionamix attended the Audio Engineering Society (AES) Conference in New York. The Audio Engineering Society is the only professional society devoted exclusively to audio technology. Founded in the United States in 1948, the AES has grown to become an international organization that unites audio engineers, creative artists, scientists and students worldwide by promoting advances in audio and disseminating new knowledge and research. This conference, is the largest gathering of audio professionals and enthusiasts on the globe, attracting delegates from over 100 countries worldwide. Since 2004, Audionamix has been a proud member of the AES and Rick Silva, VP of Production for Audionamix, attended the conference to showcase our technology. Audionamix presented a publication at the WASPAA 2011 workshop in New Paltz, New York. WASPAA is a top-level event about audio and acoustics, where most of the prominent researchers in the field are present. Audionamix’s research about Convolutive common audio signal extraction has been appreciated by colleagues in the field. While attending the workshop, our lead researcher, Juan José Burred, met with many key figures in audio research. Some of the conference’s themes included source separation, spatialization and sound indexing, topics in which Audionamix is involved and which play an important role in the research landscape.
