Audionamix Inc. is a cutting edge audio research facility that has over the past 5 years, has developed several proprietary technologies enabling the reverse engineering of mono or stereo mixes into component stems for surround up-mix and re-mastering purposes as well as the extraction of voice recordings and instruments from finalized mixes.
We are looking for a full time audio editor/engineer, proficient in various platforms inside of the audio workstation, to join our production team and work with our proprietary software and technologies for our clients.
Requirements
- Ability to edit, mix, enhance, clean-up and restore audio inside of the box will all be required for any potential candidate.
- Expert understanding of Pro Tools, with a minimum 210 certification required.
- Proven hands on experience in surround up-mixing, dialogue editing, restoration, artefact removal and/or sound effects editing on music, television and cinema content is also required
- Experience in Sonic Solutions, Logic, Reason and/or other DAWs will also be an advantage.
- Waves plug-ins know-how, particularly the mastering and editing utilities is a plus, as well as other utilities and plug-in.
- Work involves liaising with the Paris research office and reporting to the head of production and research in Paris so knowledge of French is also a plus.
- Applicants should be able to work from home or from the office and be available to work early morning hours when liaising with Europe
A pro tools competency test will be given at the interview, along with a brief restoration test.
The editor/engineer will oversee a junior engineer and report to the Head of Production in France and the VP of Operation in Los Angeles.
The position is based in the Los Angeles/Burbank area
Starting salary is $800/week
